Birth of the Amazon

For our launch into the Amazon rainforest, we began on a motor boat which left Nauta, on the Maranon river and after about 2 km of relaxed navigation, we arrived to a huge letter Y, which formed with the Ucayali river, gives birth to the longest and mightiest river in the world, the mighty Amazon. There is a small haven in the confluence, perfect for watching the famous pink freshwater dolphins. On the right bank of the Ucayali there is an indigenous community called Castilla, and on the left bank of the newborn Amazon, another community called Grau.
