A new hot spot in Chicago!
The much anticipated Tap Room at the biggest Binny's liquor store location has opened its doors. They had a special event with the Bell's Brewery that they could invite folks to but they are still waiting on one last license from the city of Chicago to be officially open to the public. So we got to see the beautiful new tap room.
It is fantastic! If you are a regular beer bar goer then you have to check out this new gem to Lincoln Park! The store reconstructed and added on a champagne room with high ceilings and a massive projector screen for events and meetings. Follow through the champagne room to the other side and you are at the entrance of the Tap Room. The designers kept all of the qualities of the warehouse that was once there (which is in true Chicago fashion!) and so there is a massive white washed crane propped in the far ceiling, ceiling high windows with ivy over them, barrels scattered around as tables, beautifully framed newspaper pages about beer and Chicago history all around, and finally a classy black bar. I wish the bar was wood built but I understand why not.
