I took this photo the day after Hurricane Sandy roared thru Manhattan, leaving the southern half of the island in total darkness.
The bright night sky was lit up by the city lights north of 34th street. The car ahead of me was illuminated by the headlights of my car.
It was a surreal experience that almost never happens in this city.
