Bianco Beach

Il primo aggettivo per descrivere queste spiagge è decisamente "deserto", proprio per la pace che le circonda. Grazie allo scarsissimo sviluppo turistico degli impianti in queste zone fa si che vi si possano trascorrere delle vacanze davvero rilassanti, lontane anni luce dalla confusione urbana, stesi al sole cocente su spiagge di minuscoli sassolini chiari e mare blu cobalto. L'accesso a questo pezzo di paradiso fuori paese è dato da un sentiero abusivo e un pò pericoloso che attraversa la ferrovia, ma una volta giunti sulla riva ci si ritrova circondati dall'aqua e da sabbia a perdita d'occhio dove si trovano barche che paiono ferme da secoli. La vegetazione cresce selvaggia ricca di fichi d'india e buganville colorate, e muta il suo colore con le stagioni diventando gialla e arida nel torrido agosto. La città in lontananza sembra un miraggio e la sua ospitalità è davvero calorosa, come si conviene al carattere calabro. I prezzi sono molto economici e le specialità culinarie davvero ottime, in particolare i dolci.
