If you decide to drive along the west coast of the Scottish Highlands from Durness to Ullapool, then you will find yourself traveling along slow but beautiful small roads that will take you through deserted moors and mountain landscapes. The road is sure to drive you nuts: it's slow, it goes up, it goes down, it turns right, it turns left, and if you see a car coming the other way you have to stop because the road only has one lane! But it's worth it, since it's the only way to observe the wonderful scenery!
