Antoine D'Audigier
A majestic bridge
The Pont Charles Bessires is a majestic bridge overlooking Lausanne. It is named after the man who donated the most money for its construction: Charles Bessieres, a nineteenth century jeweler and banker, who made the donation less than 6 months before his death. The bridge is full of obelisks in the Louis XVI style, and the bridge offers a stunning view of Lausanne.
