The Wildest Corner

Excellent

If I had to choose the most beautiful beach I would most definitely choose this one, with eyes closed. I was lucky to discover it thanks to this application. After traveling in the Anaga Park and its one thousand curves, we reached our destiny. We had to stop numerous times to enjoy the landscapes, mainly because the sky was clear (try to choose a sunny day).

It is worth highlighting the fact that there is not much development in the area. If you visit the beach with children, I recommend the previous beach (Almáciga) since there are lifeguards there and it is more accessible.

Beaches in Benijo

These clean and not very frequented black volcanic sand beaches are located under the steep peaks of the Anaga range, in an area that is Natural Park.

The landscape here is really impressive, with the lava peaks that emerge from the water. There are some nudist swimmers and a few people who camp there, even though it is not permitted to do so.

There is also a small restaurant before the descent where you can grab a bite. You have to be careful because it is a beach with really strong currents.

Beautiful Enclave

Benijo is a really small town located in Anaga, near the town of Taganana, in Tenerife. It’s the last town in the road that covers the massif of Anaga and, therefore, there are more and more tourists arriving to Benijo each time.

The town is formed by a few low houses that have a beautiful color; some of them have been transformed into restaurants that serve excellent fish. But the most beautiful thing of this town is the enclave where it is located. On one side you can contemplate the sea and some beautiful volcanic beaches that are full of rocks, which gives the impression that the sea is always rough. On the other side you can see incredible vegetation, the massif of Anaga and some spectacular mountains with indescribable forms that leave everybody breathless.
