A challenging climb
Ben Lawers is one of the most beautiful peaks, but also one of the most difficult to climb. That's particularly true in winter, when the snow can make avalanches a real danger. Authorities recommend not to go alone, or without a prior knowledge of the terrain. It is in the Munro category, which means that it's higher than 900 meters; it is in fact 1214 meters high, making it the tenth highest peak in Britain. You'll find the mountain on the north shore of Loch Tay, between the towns of Perth and Kenmmore. It is visually stunning, but be careful, as it is the mountain with the highest number of deaths and disappearances.
