Named after whiskey
Built in 1988, at the time of the Glasgow Garden Festival, this is a footbridge that connects the two banks of the River Clyde, with the Convention Center at one side and the Crowne Plaza Hotel at the other. Its design was innovative for the 80's, but the most interesting thing about the bridge is its name. It was sponsored by Bell's Whisky, and because the company donated a lot of money to its construction, it was named after the drink. Not the most glamorous name, perhaps.
