Pastries of Belem

Well, I think this is where you will find the best and the most authentic Pastéis of Belém. These are small, sweet pastries filled with cream which is said to have been inherited from the ancient monastery of Geronimo monks of the order of Geronimos and is located right next to the bakery. The recipe is a secret, though, and it is said that only the great chefs here know how to make them. The bakeries are always crowded but are very fast and efficient when they care of you. First go through box and say how many pastries you want. Then you get a ticket andt then you give your ticket to one of the staff of the bar and you get your pastries.

Pro tip: instead of lining up for take out, go find a table inside, enjoy a cup of coffee, and order your to go with your server.
