Beaver Creek camping
I was surprised when we pulled in here midday on a sparkling June Saturday only to find it half-full. I was even more surprised when it was still half-full at sunset. Most of the activity on Priest Lake is around the south end, where there are resorts and homes, but up on the north shore it's much quieter. This mid-sized campground is on the lake shore (though no spots have direct water access), and there is a delightful beach. Facilities are basic, though there is water and a camp host who sells fire wood. The Lakeshore Trail takes off from here, as does the Portage Trail and at least one other.
