Locals are very friendly
Beaumaris Castle is famous, at least in Wales, but the people talk about it very little, even in official guides. This is why we were quite surprised when we found a colorful and most welcoming seaside town. It is located on the north coast of Anglesey, close to the junction with the main island. The characteristic houses are painted in different colors and create a rather curious polychromy for visitors. This is a common factor in the Hebrides of Scotland. It is supposed to be an ancient tradition, according to which each family's house was painted a color that a sailor could see on his return by sea.
