After visiting the ruins of Tulum, it's a good plan to go to Playa Paraiso which is a bit further on, because the beach of the ruins is really far away. Take a taxi since the distance is about 5 km and walking is pretty tough. We were told it was about 15 minutes on foot but it actually took us 30.
