Coliumo, is a settlement in a fishing cove framed by beautiful scenery, which is located 10 kilometers north of Tome. There are three beaches in the area:
* Los Morros
* Necochea
* Playa Blanca.
It is a very quiet area, with unique landscapes that enchant with their various rocky or sandy beaches. It has a very well kept architecture besides its orden and cleanliness.
Caleta is situated opposite Dichato, a municipality of Tomé, Bio Bio region. Its landscape is very picturesque, the fishermen live with the families that have their weekend or summer homes here. On top of the hill is the Grotto of the Virgin, a pilgrimage location, the sacrifice to reach it is fully rewarded by the beautiful landscape you can admire once there.
On a work day, towards the evening, I managed to see this monument of tranquility and grandeur. Coliumo is a beautiful fishing village about 15 minutes from Tome. The people are very friendly and if you are lucky, you can buy some fresh fish from the local creek fishermen.
