A river beach
It is a river beach, just before the mouth of the Guadalquivir, opposite Doñana. It virtually occupies the back of one of the sidewalks of calle del Puerto Pesquero. Arriving at Sanlúcar turn right and follow the signs for Bonanza, the street that ends at the port leads directly to the beach. Among the beaches of Sanlucar this is the least busy, having a very seaworthy character because of the numerous barges, both in the water and on the beach. We liked it a lot because we left the car parked almost in the same arena and above all, it was so quiet. It is 1,200 meters long, 40 meters wide, the sand is golden, there are virtually no waves, currents are lacking, no rocky areas, no significant slopes and there is almost never anyone there.
Therefore it's an ideal beach for children, provided they take care not to approach the numerous fishing boats. Especially attractive is the nighttime beacon, though at that time bathing should be avoided because of the risk of tripping over the barges.
