A classy Abbey
Bath Abbey is one of the most emblematic buildings in Bath due to its preservation, architectural properties (perpendicular Gothic) and its location in the city center). The real name is Abbey of St. Peter and St. Paul, but everyone calls it Bath Abbey. Its foundation was established in the 7th century, but was changed in centuries VII, X, XII and XVI. It used to be a Benedictine abbey and today is one of the most important Anglican dioceses in the south of England. Bath is a compendium of history. Since Roman times (with its famous spas or baths, which gave the city its name) to the elegant Victorian era and Jane Austen.
