One of the Pirates
One of the most noticeable elements of this coastal town is the stronghold that previously protected the port from pirate attacks when the area became wealthy. To commemorate this time, there is a curious metallic statue handling a gun worthy of "Pirates of the Caribbean". We cannot forget that England was home to pirates, legalized by the monarchy, with the most famous being Sir Francis Drake, in the service of Queen Elizabeth I of England. The conservation of this walled stronghold is excellent and makes you feel part of the past, as they form the oldest part of this legendary port. If we follow the route marked by its walls and reach the top, where the views of the port, the sea and the village are splendid.
