Base Christchurch Hostel

I spent my first two nights in Christchurch here as the other hostels were full. My flight arrived a midnight, and the Base has a 24-hour reception. Base Hostels are known throughout Australia and New Zealand for their nightlife, as they all have their own bar. The atmosphere is young and crazy. The best thing about this hotel is its location, 10 metres from the Cathedral and 50 from the InterCity bus stop. I'd recommend it only if you're a party lover and under 25.

The Base is located in Christchurch, a half block from the Christchurch Cathedral Square, 1 km from the Botanical Garden and Art Center. It has WI-FI access for a fee, full kitchen and barbecue grills and laundry facilities. There are private and shared bathrooms.
