Barrier Lake

This lake might be the first point of interest offered by the Road 40 of Alberta. It is an artificial lake created by the waters of the Kananaskis River for electricity generation. It is divided into two playgrounds, the lake and the dam and is a perfect place to walk, ride a bike or horse, or simply relax while sunbathing. I didn't stay there but there is a campsite about 4 miles from the dam.
