Bar Lobo

I had dinner in that restaurant. Actually we were going to another one but it was full and we ended up by chance in Bar Lobo. It was definitely a good decision.

It is located in the entrance to Las Ramblas and belongs to the chain "Tragaluz Group" with another 13 restaurants spread across the city. Apart from having a nice terrace in the street (without any free table) the place is quite big. Actually, it is two restaurants in one, since there are two floors, in the lower one there is the "Bar Lobo", specializing in "raciones" (literally "portions") and tapas and in the upper one "Elj apo nés" with Japonese food. Both of them are communicated from the inside, so the kitchen is shared and you can order dishes from the one or the other wherever you are sitting.

I followed Lala2's recommendation and I went to eat at "Bar Lobo" with my boyfriend. Everything was delicious: tuna tataki with guacamole, asparagus tempura with Romescu (tomato and pepper sauce), assortment of tomatoes, toast of roastbeef with roquefort and walnut sauce and "croquetas." Just to say something negative, they forgot to give us bread even though we didn't need it and the dessert was quite expensive (6€ for two scoops of ice-cream!).

The place was very nice. We went inside because it was really hot outside. I loved the decoration with the high roof and very quiet background music.

Following your indications, I went to this bar and the truth is it was not a bad choice, since both food and service were good. The place and the atmosphere are also nice.

In my case I ate inside with my partner, since the terrace was full. We tried their honey eggplant, patatas bravas (potatoes with tomato sauce) and chicken fajitas with guacamole, and it was really good. The only drawback, is that the "raciones" are a little small. Everything aforementioned and a rosé wine bottle for 48€, 24€ each. To sum up, it is a good bar to eat, I'll possibly go back.
