Reputation for its seafood platters
Bar André is well known in La Rochelle and has a reputation for its seafood platters and delicious fish dishes. It's almost always busy and is very large, you can almost say that it has a maze of rooms, all decorated differently. The restaurant opens onto 2 streets and has 2 entrances: one that looks like a ship and another off the Tour de la Chaine. The menu is 30 € and is very good, so it's quite expensive but worth it, it's a safe bet and you won't regret going there to eat.
