Antique Steam Baths - Altes Dampfbad

Beautiful Tuscan style building that's surprising and curious, we climbed the steep stairs leading from the Altstadt (Old Town) to the hot springs area on Mount Florentino where the fountains arise that made the city famous. Built 1846-1848 it used the old hot spring as a steam bath, currently it is the headquarters of the association for young artists and holds exhibitions, lectures, concerts and many cultural activities. It has an air of elegant belle époque that characterizes Baden-Baden. It's quiet and away from the tourist circuit so it's ideal for leisurely walks, to enjoy the hot springs and to relax.
