Adventure To Anywhere
A Classic Hike in the Canadian Rockies
I had been dying to do the hike to the Ink Pots ever since I was a little girl and first visited the legendary Johnston Canyon in Banff National Park. However, my little legs were never able to make it up past the upper falls! In December, on our way home from Emerald Lake Lodge in BC, we decided to make the trek up to the Ink Pots. We brought our snowshoes and were expecting to use them, but the trail was so well-used that we didn't have to. Good winter boots with Yaktraks or the like might be a good idea, though.
The total hike is a 12km round trip, with moderate difficulty, but if you spend a lot of time hiking, you will likely find it quite easy.
