Hotel Balneario Valle del Jerte

Located in the natural paradise of the Jerte Valley, this Spa-Hotel stand out as an exceptional option for spending a few memorable days in the area. It’s located in a valley near the mountains and has some unbeatable views of the surrounding area.

The hotel has fantastic rooms with all the normal comforts (the truth is that I didn’t stay there, but I did take a look at the rooms to get an idea) and they have a suite that’s just breathtaking.

What we did do, though, was enjoy a complete spa circuit and a cherry-therapy (yes, cherry-therapy) treatment to finish up our trip to Extremadura.

It is a newly built hotel in the heart Jerte Valley, perfectly integrated into the landscape of the area, with spacious facilities, landscaped gardens, a small lake and a huge carp for events.

The spa is minimalist and cosy, with sauna, Turkish bath, contrast baths, jet pool and relaxing bath. Without doubt, the best bit is the cherry therapy treatments, with peeling, massage and cherry swaddles.

This is an ideal place to rest; it is absolute peace and quiet and it’s surrounded by a unique landscape which is interesting to explore, although the suffocating heat at certain times of year might not encourage you to head out and see things. I’d recommend it to everyone! It’s beautiful up there in the mountains.
