5 reviews of Balneario Palacio de las Salinas

    Hotel spa

This Hotel Balneario is situated on the outskirts of Medina del Campo, four kilometres in the direction of Velascálvaro (access from the village is signposted), in a palace built in the early twentieth century (in the style of the Magdalena Palace in Santander) in the countryside surrounded by beautiful gardens, which exude a calm and total tranquillity.

Although I did not stay there, I approached to visit it on the recommendation of someone from the tourist office, being that as well as the hotel itself and the therapeutic treatments offered in the spa area, it has a super cool cafe where you can have a drink in their gardens and view temporary expositions (on this occasion there were two, devoted to modern art sculptures, titled "itinerARTciones" and "Shared Nature").

A relaxing treat, Balneario Las Salinas

    Excellent

Supremely relaxing environment, in a turn of the century building with large gardens and green areas, located in the countryside, but four miles from a city with numerous services.

40 minutes from Valladolid and 90 from Madrid. We tried the thermal circuit of medicinal mineral water, in the waters with the highest mineralization in Europe and ate the 25 € menu at the restaurant with a choice of four starters, four main course and several desserts, all very well served and prepared.

Prices are affordable, but even more for citizens from the municipalities of Medina del Campo, where special rates are applied (20 € circuit only and 59 € lunch or dinner + partial massage).

    A relaxing hotel

The Balneario Palacio de las Salinas in Medina del Campo is a building built by the initiative of D. Francisco Belloso, in 1912, and whose design was by the same architects of the Magdalena Palace in Santander.

Among its facilities is also the Millennium Chapel building, restored by Cristóbal Gabarrón, sculptor and artist born in Mula (Murcia) and settled in Valladolid, who headed the foundation that bears his name, dedicating part of the terrain in which the spa is found, to outdoor expositions with the intention of glorifying the relationship between sculpture and nature, encouraging and promoting the appreciation of artistic expression for the cultural and educational enrichment of society.
