Balite Falls

Witness the natural beauty of the Philippines in an unexpected place at Balite Falls. I was told this area was supposed to be developed into a tourist destination, but it has since been abandoned so there aren’t any amenities around – no bathroom, no sinks, etc. But that’s the beauty of it: you’ll really get to be one with nature here. There are some wooden huts on site and an old building. It’s a nice place to take a nature walk and play around a bit in the water, which is relatively clean. (Definitely cleaner than ocean water at Santa Monica Beach in Los Angeles.) The falls are on the small side, but it’s still a pleasant sight.
