Definitely the best burgers in Barcelona
Let me put this as clearly as possible: Bacoa serves the absolute best burgers in Barcelona. Period. Don’t believe me? Just head to one of the many Bacoa outlets around the city, or stop by their fast-casual outpost Kiosko, and order one. Trust me, you’ll become a convert.
Bacoa’s success, in my opinion, lies in its ability to expertly straddle the line between gourmet burgers and lip-smacking dive bar burgers. Yes, you can order your burgers with organic Pyrenean beef and top it with everything from Manchego cheese to teriyaki sauce to tomato chutney, but your burger never loses that satisfyingly low-brow greasiness that we all look for in a great burger.
Their menu changes from time to time, but I’d recommend ordering the Australian if you see it on the menu. It’s 200 grams of organic beef cooked to order served with crispy bacon, barbecue sauce, and grilled beets. I know it sounds like a strange mix, but trust me that it’s amazing. The Bacoa Burger with bacon, caramelized onion, and secret sauce is another winner. You order comes with either thin-cut French fries or massive home fries that are most like fried potato chunks. Oh, and don’t forget to order a cold bottle of local Moritz beer to wash it down with. You won’t be disappointed!
