Bachkovo Monastery

This monastery is near Plovdiv so it may be a trip to see the city and this religious monument on the same day. They say it's the second Orthodox monastery in Bulgaria after Rila. Rila Bachkovo should be visited before because if you visit it in a different order, you may be disappointed. Do not miss the access road that moves along a beautiful valley between mountains. From a point on the road, you will see a beautiful fortress on the edge of a cliff. A final warning: Taking pictures of the monastery is a difficult task.
