Bacharad
On the way to the town of St.Goar, where we were to start our Rhine River cruise, as we were making good time, we wantd to buy a gift for our guide, Cesar. On the banks of the Rhine River we stopped at a small village called Bacharad. It's beautiful with lovely towered walls. The streets are cobbled in a medieval style and the houses are typically colourful, heavily decorated with flowers. In this area, you can see the ruins of the church following the war. It's a town that, due to its location, is small but elongated along the river. It has some very charming spots and is very quiet. You do not hear any noise.
