Bacata Hotel
This 4 star hotel is located on 19th Street, in the financial district of Bogota at the foot hills of Monserrate. The building is quite high, with 207 rooms, in which there is also a convention center with 12 meeting rooms, a restaurant, a gym and sauna, a beauty salon and a gift shop. The whole lobby is marble polished, is very shiny, and is huge with plenty of couches to sit on. Our room was one of the 7 junior suites in the hotel and the truth is that it was very good, it was very comfortable and spacious and we had a separate living area with sofas and a small coffee table. The bed was king sized, and stood before the desk.
We also had wifi internet connection, a minibar, a TV, a radio, and a safe. The decor was a bit old fashion, it was decorated with a 70s style but I liked that it was carpeted. The room was very bright and had a large window and a balcony terrace, which overlooked the bustling street that was full of life that the hotel sat on. The bathroom was quite nice with a bathtub (it wasn´t very big but had a curtain), and a sink set into marble above which there was a large wall to wall mirror. The was a full range of amenities and hair dryers in the room. The faucet in the tub was set into the wall, and had three knobs, so it was a little complicated to get the desired water temperature, and the shower head was also fixed, which I find a little uncomfortable ... Okay, although it looked a little older, I think it's a good hotel, it was very clean and the room was quite large and comfortable.
