Good, simple and traditional food
Babylone is a restaurant in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, in front of the legendary Hotel Lutetia. It's an upscale neighborhood with shops and art galleries, Babylone is a small place within your budget in the middle of this bubble of wealth. I like it because it is a simple place with good, simple and traditional food. Home-made mash, a large selection of soups and gravies - it's like eating at Grandma's. I recommend the lamb Gigot, a piece of leg of lamb which is roasted for hours with rosemary and garlic, served with green beans, "flageolets" and mashed potatoes. This dish is usually served on family Sundays at noon in French households, it's very tender and tasty.
