Avenida João da Cruz is a large, landscaped boulevard running between the Bus Station and Post Office Square. It has 2 lanes in each direction, separated by a central pedestrian walkway with beautiful gardens with flower beds and small clipped hedges forming shapes. Among these gardens is the Beça Abilio Monument. Following this road to the end begins Av. Das Forças Armadas, the entrance/exit of the city towards Spain.
