Havens of peace
Germans know how to find little havens of peace to cool down in during the warm summer temperatures. A dip in the Auwald-see is a small pleasure, very Germanic, which is never in the travel guides but it's a perfect summer plan to mitigate the heat (when it's hot) and feel like an inhabitant of Lauingen. There is a small bar along the small lake where you can even eat something without pretensions.
