Rafting the Atuel River

I had never been rafting before. Not because I considered it dangerous, I just wasn't sure I would like it. I was so wrong! I took lots of pictures of those ve practiced from the shore. That's when I said, "this has to be fun" and I assure you it was. There are several providers of this service on the River Atuel in Valle Grande, San Rafael, Mendoza. Extreme Adventure were particularly good. The service includes a talk prior to starting and they provided the clothing (boots, jacket and pants). They also look after the security (life vest and helmet), of course the oars and inflatable boats necessary to practice the activity and also the bus back upstream to the base.
