Atatürk International Airport
The cheapest way to fly to Turkey is to Atatürk International Airport, located near the center of Istanbul. The airport, as its name suggests, is dedicated to the great "Father of the Turks", the omnipresent and omnipotent Atatürk (be very careful about teasing in front of the Turkish ...) It is a modern airport, well connected to the city and has very good prices. On the airport light rail (LRT), it is only six stops and the ticket costs about 0.60 €. You can then get on a tram that will take you straight to the central district of Sultanahmet for the same price. The journey takes less than 50 minutes.
