Valença no extremo norte de Portugal, na divisa com a Espanha, tem em suas muralhas, uma belíssima história para a humanidade. Sua construção, conhecida também como o Castelo de Valença, data de muitos séculos, e teve como principal finalidade a defesa do país, em função de sua localização estratégica, as margens do Rio Minho.
Passear na silenciosa e histórica cidade, entre os altos e velhos muros, é uma experiência indescritível. Atualmente, existe um cidade dentro e outra fora das muralhas. Contemplar a paisagem do alto do Castelo de Valença é muito bonito. É romântico.
