Art Museum, Fão

The Art Museum is housed in the oldest part of Fao, in a building dating from the mid-twentieth century. It was acquired by the City in 1995 for the creation of this museum, which opened its doors in 2004. The museum offers exhibitions in order to promote cultural and artistic heritage of the region. Things are different depending on the time of the year. During the summer months an exhibition is organized that is great for all visitors and vacationers, while in winter there is a focus on teaching the local school community. When I was visiting during the summer there was an exhibition by the sculptor António Carlos Esteves.
