Hotel Aroi Ponferrada

A group of friends decided to visit El Bierzo and stayed in Hotel Ponferrada Plaza. Chic and carefully décorated. We had no reference other than their website and comments from some travelers who had stayed in it. In the center of town, we could walk everywhere. The staff are professional and very friendly (they told us which places to visit and even provided us with maps of the city and the environment!). The hotel was very quiet, we slept like angels. By the way, they have another 3-star hotel in the hsitoric quarter which looks great. We ate in the Tavern (local hotel with a variety of tapas, very nice and cheap) the day we visited the Castle of the Templars.
