Árkád Szeged

El centro comercial “Árkád Szeged” es considerado como el más grande y moderno de la ciudad de Szeged y uno de los más importantes de la zona sur de Hungría. Los primeros planes para su construcción se hicieron públicos ene l año de 2007 y su inauguración se llevó a cabo en Octubre de 2011. Si bien Szeged es una ciudad relativamente estable y desarrollada en Hungría, antes de la apertura de “Árkád”, ahí no se encontraba ningún centro comercial moderno en el que comprar productos de marcas internacionales. Hoy en día, el sitio es el punto de reunión por excelencia para estudiantes locales y extranjeros, así como para parejas y familias durante los fines de semana. Si estás de paseo por la ciudad y te apetece entrar en uno de esos “malls” que te hacen olvidar que estás en otro país, es una buena opción. Hay un cine, un área de comidas y 110 tiendas repartidas en tres pisos. Se ubica en el llamado “London Körüt”, a unos doscientos metros de la estación de autobuses de la ciudad. Si bien se puede caminar desde el centro, también se pueden usar tranvías, autobuses y trolebuses para llegar a la entrada del mall.

The "Árkád Szeged" mall is considered the largest and most modern of the city of Szeged and one of the most important in the southern part of Hungary. The first plans for its construction were made public Jan. l year 2007 and its inauguration was held in October 2011. While Szeged is a relatively stable and developed city in Hungary, before the opening of "Árkád" there no no modern shopping center in which buy products from international brands was. Today, the site is the meeting point par excellence for local and foreign students, as well as for couples and families during the weekends. If you walk around town and you want to get into one of those "malls" that make you forget you"re in another country, it is a good choice. There is a cinema, a food court and 110 shops spread over three floors. It is located in the so-called "London körút", about two hundred meters from the bus station in the city. While you can walk from the center, you can also use trams, buses and trolley buses to reach the entrance of the mall.
