Like old American movies
Driving for hours on the arid, desert Highway 93 that bisects the state of Arizona, we were hungry! The sun was overhead and it was 42 degrees that day. The summer is hard even for us Brazilians who are used to the tropical climate. Suddenly a sign appears on the road: Arizona Last Stop! Do not hesitate: stop! Who would lose the last stop in Arizona? And how could it be otherwise, the place is really unusual! When you park the car, it already has that sense of American Westerns.
There is a fuel station and the desert sand floor on one side of a house and a shooting range on the the other. There are also some abandoned aircrafts and many other cars laying around!
In the middle of all this is a house that has a typical cafeteria of the old American West, with those swinging doors that make you afraid to enter. But do not worry, many places in Arizona are sure to leave you in satisfaction or surprise. In the cafeteria, I had the feeling of being in a movie! The typical scenario of Route 66, many images of motorcycles, and scraps of travelers cover the walls. In the lounge there are weapons and statues in a position for combat. These and many souvenirs are what you see in the movies!
