Unique hotel
The Hotel Arena in Amsterdam is one of the most unique hotels I have ever stayed at. Over the years, it's been a chapel, orphanage, and backpacker hostel, but now it's a modern hotel with a very peculiar minimalist design. It's located near Plantage, but this is not a problem as there are plenty of trams that can take you to where you want to go. The decor is pretty spare. When we arrived, there were no budget rooms and we had to upgrade, so we enjoyed a giant room with high ceilings, a great bed, and minimal decoration. To give you an idea, the closet was a school locker. However, the design felt daring and industrial at the same time.
