Plascencia Aqueduct
The Plasencia Aqueduct, also called "Arcos de San Anton" is located at the San Anton through road being crossed by the Ruta de la Plata (N-630) en route to Salamanca. It was built in the sixteenth century by Juan de Flandes who took advantage of another existing construction in order to transport "Cañada de los Moros" water. The current aqueduct is named after the ancient hermitage of Saint Anthony. It is located in a spacious and open area, perfect for taking in this monument at a leisurely pace. You can see both sides of the road and have a nice walk, thanks to the numerous gardens around. For
Me it is one of the essential places to visit in Plasencia that you should not miss if you like these kind of constructions and prefer wide, open sites when you visit a city.
