1 review of Arco

A paradise for the senses

Cliffs suspended over waters, surrounded by old castle walls, narrow alleys and squares flanked by picturesque medieval structures, baroque mansions and palaces of the 18th century, contemporary hotels, luxurious spas, limestone walls that rise up to 2000 meters for daring climbers, dozens of trails that wind through vegetation lost in the alpine heights on each curve giving the chance to enjoy a view of the Garda and the surrounding villages. Paragliding, hang gliding, windsurfing, mountain biking, horseback riding, canoeing through canyons, all this and much more (peace, fresh air and great microclimate characterized by a blue sky with clouds almost always absent) we spawn the small town of Arco located at the northern end of Lake Garda.

And after so many emotions nothing like relaxing in one of their fantastic resorts and rest in any of its charming restaurants .... It is impossible to forget the picture of Castle Arch at sunset and our memories will always be this wonderful post in which its slender silhouetted against the towering snow capped mountains in beautiful counterpoint to the blue waters of Lake Garda. So Albrecht Dürer must have thought he did not hesitate to immortalize the picture in one of his famous watercolors "Le Val D'Arco Klausen / Fenediger," which can be seen in the Louvre.
