Victory against Napoleon
Located near Victory Park, the Triumphal Arch of Moscow was built between 1829 and 1834 to commemorate the Russian victory against Napoleon's troops in 1812. Along with the defeat of the Nazis in World War II, this victory is one of the biggest points of national pride in Russia. As soon as you exit the Pobedy Park metro station, you'll see it at the intersection of Kutuzovskyi and Prospekt. If you want to get as close as possible, choose the second exit.
