Long trip
To get to Anhuradapura to Puttalam, there are 80 kilometers. On the way there, there is a natural park but it is said to be very sloppy, it went from being the most visited park in the country to be a place forgotten by tourists, so we tried to go straight there. At 10 am in the morning, a public bus came and told us that was all they had, there was no minibus transport to get us there. People rushed to raise and secure to get on and get a place, but the bus only left at 12, a very long wait! The road to go to Puttalam was terrible and also there were two security checkpoints where everyone had to get down and find their passports and documents.
In total it took about three hours to travel there on this road, and it was very hot. Then the bus followed Colombo towards the coast, but others buses went direct and took less time. The trip cost 100 Rs per person. Then in Puttalam there was an air-conditioned minibus to continue along the coast.
