Antiques Flea Market

The centre of Santiago de Compostela is taken over at the weekends by a market that has a lot of charm, where you can find authentic relics from our childhood which make you reminisce. The market is not very big, it consists of about ten stalls among the cloisters of the main streets. Each stall consists of simple tables and a stool so that vendors do not have to spend all day standing. The tables are filled with all kinds of objects, not just the tables, but also the floor is also packed with products to sell.

They sell everything. From coins from all over the world, from all kinds of prices to all kinds of books, dolls or music cassettes. In addition, you can also find antique furniture and instruments or pictures that normally belong to Galician artists. Everything has a place.

It is a true delight to stroll through this place whilst ogling at the items because you can find things you thought you'd never see again! For example, I found a bottle of "Mirinda", a drink that I rarely saw during my childhood... it was already part of a distant past. As for prices, there is everything, you can find books for a euro or you can find antiques that are fairly priced.

Indeed, not only is it fun to see what objects are being sold, but it's also great to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere created by visitors and vendors alike.
