Ansils Restaurant

It was the second time I had visited this restaurant, with a long interval in between, more than 15 years, I calculate.

The place is cosy, with an eclectic architecture mixed with the traditional of the valley. The service was a 10 out of 10 and the food excellent, based on traditional Aragonese cuisine fused with contemporary.

The game meat was exquisite, the more than 200 wines in its cellar impressive, the first courses very good and a good mark also for the desserts, all of this at a more than reasonable price.

The space between tables sufficient. A place of reference

I’ve been twice to this restaurant and several people had spoken very highly of it. It is in the charming village of Ansils, in the heart of the Benasque Valley.

Its difference with respect to other small villages in the valley is that it comprises of a complex of manor houses, several of great historical interest, and you can also see that some have large stables.

From the first day I fell in love with this place. As you go up the stairs you appreciate the very charming atmosphere of the dining room with a well maintained decor and romantic touch (which isn’t fuzzy) which make it very special.
