Les Angles Church
The church of Les Angles is typical, small Provencal church that overlooks the city as well as the Rhone Valley. The old part of the city is beautiful with its small cobbled streets and stone houses that were built on top of a hill. It seems that the church wanted to be stronger in case of invasion. The church was built in the 7th century, but what you're actually seeing is the updates from the 12th century and later. The church was destroyed in the 14th century, after the Hundred Years War when the army plundered a lot of religious places. In the 18th century there was very little of it left, so they built a small church in the 15th century, which is now the current parish.
