Berber Textile Cooperatives

Historically, Berbers came down from the Atlas mountains to sell their products in Fez, and often had to spend the night in the city. This loom and fabric store is an ancient Berber inn, with animals downstairs tied up and the rooms preserved. Today it is a cooperative where you can see Moroccan scarves and textilesl, there are bedspreads, rugs, cushions ... made of different materials; cotton, silk, or a mixture of both. The scarves are used to cover your face to protect yourself from the desert sands. With any luck, the shop assistants will show you different ways to wear the scarf.
