Great for unwinding. Hop onto the green of its gardens and lose yourself in the sound of the Plaza de Anaya ... From the sound of the sparrows in their nests, to the murmur of conversations on repairing the world to the improvised Spanish guitar...
The Plaza de Anaya is a large open square that is next to the Old Cathedral of Salamanca. It is a location that’s always full of people, either during the holidays, when they install food and souvenir stalls, or during the student year, being that is next to the Philology faculty. It's in the Palace of Anaya, which is fifteenth century and was built by Diego de Anaya and Maldonado so that poor students could receive a good education.
Next to the school one can see the hospice, which was the place of accommodation for low-income students, who paid for their studies working as domestics for more fortunate students.
